The antichrist is not merely one individual person or entity, for the Bible says that there are “many antichrists.” (1 John 2:18) Rather, the term “antichrist,” which comes from a Greek word meaning “against (or instead of) Christ,” refers to anyone who does the following:
Denies that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) or denies that he is the Son of God.—1 John 2:22.
Opposes the Christ, God’s Anointed One.—Psalm 2:1, 2; Luke 11:23.
Pretends to be the Christ.—Matthew 24:24.
Persecutes the followers of Christ, since Jesus views what is done to them as being done to him.—Acts 9:5.
Falsely claims to be a Christian while practicing lawlessness or deception.—Matthew 7:22, 23; 2 Corinthians 11:13.
Besides speaking of individuals who take such actions as being antichrists, the Bible also refers to them collectively as “the antichrist.” (2 John 7) The antichrist first appeared in the time of the apostles and has been active ever since. Bible prophecy foretold just such a development.—1 John 4:3.
How to identify antichrists
They promote false ideas related to Jesus. (Matthew 24:9, 11) For example, those who teach the Trinity or that Jesus is Almighty God actually oppose the teachings of Jesus, who said: “The Father is greater than I am.”—John 14:28.
Antichrists reject what Jesus said about how God’s Kingdom operates. For instance, some religious leaders say that Christ works through human governments. Yet, this teaching contradicts Jesus, who said: “My Kingdom is no part of this world.”—John 18:36.
They say that Jesus is their Lord, but they do not obey his commands, including the one to preach the good news of the Kingdom.—Matthew 28:19, 20; Luke 6:46; Acts 10:42.
The Scriptures listed here either pertain directly to the Antichrist, or will help the reader discern the spirit of the Antichrist. Remember, there are multiple, and these days, there are many antichrists. In short, an Antichrist is someone who is against Christ, or is serving ‘In-place’ of Christ. Scriptures that are a direct reference to the Antichrist in this list will be marked with an Asterisk (*). If you have any questions, feel free to ask any time!
Also - This listing is probably incomplete. I spent a lot of time re-reading through scripture and making sure to get in most of it.

Old Testament:
Isaiah
*Isaiah 14:3-23
The “King of Babylon” appears to be a type and foreshadow for Antichrist. When interpreting verse 12, consider Revelation 22:16 and 2 Peter 1:19 , Isaiah 66:6
Ezekiel
Chapter 28
Mainstream interpretation is that much of this chapter is related to the actual Prince of Tyre, but that some of it has more to do with Satan. Indeed, this is one of the primary chapters that many churches draw from concerning teachings on Satan. However, it may be possible parts of this scripture could be pointing to the Antichrist. Since there is no fully accepted interpretation, it is worth the study, but understand it is only loosely connected to the AC.
Daniel
I personally recommend the entire book of Daniel, as his entire story is beautiful. I see Daniel as a man after God’s heart, and true in his faithfulness to YHWH. Daniel also sheds some light as to the Babylonian Empire, its history, and its demise. I found all of this helpful in seeking understanding for his prophecies.
*Chapter 2
7+1 named body parts, 5 materials, 4 “kingdoms”. Compare with the 7+1 headed scarlet beast from Revelation 17.
*Chapter 7
In v17 the messenger tells Daniel that the 4 beasts are future. This disproves the idea that Babylon is the Lion and that Persia is the Bear. v24 demonstrates that the 10 horns must arise before the little horn does. It also suggests that the fourth beast doesn’t start off with 10 horns, but that they come up later. V11 shows the fourth beast being destroyed while v12 shows that the first 3 beasts outlive the fourth beast, they just have their dominion taken away.
*Chapter 8
Gabriel says that this prophecy is about the time of the end several times. In v23, notice the plural possessive of “their”, for the singular “kingdom”. This is the kingdom of the 4 beast kingdoms of Daniel 7 (see v22).
*Chapter 9:24-27
*Chapter 11:20-21, 23, 29-35, 36-39
It’s hard to say how much before v36 applies to the antichrist, but most commentators seem to start at 36 and add in profile elements from verses 20-21. Aspects of 29-35 appear to be repeating themselves today.
To understand the “gods” in v36-39 you should understand the Hebraism that “gods” are sometimes people, especially rules, magistrates, etc… See a reasonable translation of Psalm 82:6, where it appears as though God Himself is saying, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you”. Jesus confirms this understanding in John 10:34-36
Micah
The Assyrian mentioned in this scripture is commonly thought of as the Antichrist. Considering this Assyrian tramples over Israel after ‘she who is in labor’ gives birth - I agree.
*Chapter 5:1-6
New Testament:
2 Thessalonians
*Chapter 2:1-12
1 Timothy
Chapter 6:3-10
2 Timothy
Chapter 3
Titus
This book is always a good read, though mostly unrelated to the Antichrist, it does paint a good picture of what it is to teach good works, and to avoid needless controversies. Essentially, this is some good solid milk.
Hebrews
Scripture teaches that not everyone is ready capable of understanding the more complicated messages of scripture, and I included this as a reminder to seek first the milk, then the more solid foods. I myself read a chapter of proverbs every day. Chapter 3 is incredibly helpful. I routinely revisit the gospels. Furthermore, I found 1 Peter through to Jude (everything in-between) to be a fascinating study. However, I must stress the importance of Hebrews 5:14 - Discernment between good and evil is a required skill.
*Chapter 5:1-6
James
Concerning Prosperity doctrine, and the rich who work against the least of these. Though there is no direct mention of the AC, I found this useful in my understanding of the character of antichrists who work to deceive the church with promises of riches, fame, and fortune.
Chapter 5:1-6
2 Peter - Chapter 1:16-21 / Chapter 3
1 John -*Chapter 1:15-26 / *Chapter 4:1-6 /Chapter 5
2 John -*V.4-11
Jude
Again, feeding off of the Hebrews scripture in regards to discernment between good and evil, Jude does a phenomenal job. It also references how humanity behaves in the last days, and what fallacies to steer away from. Required Reading in my mind.
Revelation
It’s important to note that the mentions of the antichrist in Chapter 13, 14, 16 are concerning roughly 3.5 years into Tribulation, and not the current day beast. Note in Chapter 13 the ten horns have their diadems, but in Chapter 17 - They do not (See Rev 17:12). The Beast in Chapter 17 is describing both the AC himself, and the Kingdom. Also note the connection between Rev 17:8, Rev 9:11, and Dan 9:27. Based on my understanding of these scriptures, it seems Abaddon (Apollyon, or Apollo) takes over at some point, and is the final form of the man of lawlessness.
