Do I have the Spirit...?
In Ezekiel (36:26) God tells us - Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Once we accept the gift of salvation through the work of the Son Jesus Christ, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit who then dwells within us.
God reminds us in Romans (8:9) saying - However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
Gods Spirit and Word..
We must understand that it is the Spirit who gives life; where the flesh is no help at all. The words that He speaks to us are of Spirit and life. When we understand that when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide us into all truths, he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and will declare to us the things to come. He tells us if we walk by the Spirit we will not gratify the desires of the flesh - Born Again - Washed Clean by the Blood of Jesus.
The Spirit helps us in our weakness and gives us strength though Gods Devine protection with the Armor of God, tempered by him, for us to equip daily. In the moment, sometimes we do not know what to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us. If we search our heart it will know what is in the mind of the Spirit, because again the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. As we begin to search our heart to find the words to pray and we do that while in the Spirt we will begin to hear the ever so soft but authoritative voice of the God. We need to make sure that we are quiet and patient to hear his voice. We must give time to the Spirit to respond; sometimes it's immediate, sometimes it's not, but know that He will always answer you. God says in Mark 11:24 - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Praying in the Spirit..
God says the Helper - the Holy Spirit - who the father sent in Jesus name will teach you all things and will bring to your remembrance all the things that has been said to us. This is why it's important to be in his word, his living word, and yes it's living. It's living because that's how God speaks to us. It's being said through his word. .Many times when we pray and we don't know why we haven't heard back from the lord. Well.. You got it, it's because you haven't been letting him in to speak to you. In his word, is where he finds your heart and when we search our heart.. you know.. we hear it in our mind - answered prayers. God says in Hebrews (4:12)
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Matters of the Heart...
I encourage you to dig deep into what the renewal of your heart means, one of the most important steps to take as a servant is to work on all the matters of the heart. A true understanding of the heart will strengthen your relationship with Christ and allow you to live in a state of peace and a continual dwelling in our 'secret place'.
God says in Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? There is only one who can understand it, heal it, cleanse it.
So remember, what god promises us in Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths
The importance of the heart is so critical that throughout the Bible and is mentioned in the King James Version 830 times. The translation of heart in Greek is kardia, which, according to "Strong's Concordance," describes the heart figuratively. More than just an organ, it is also the mind, character, inner self, will, intention and center of a being.
It's now been discovered that our hearts have a direct connection through are spinal cord to our brain, scientists are saying that the Heart has memories and stores information Humm..
